Braydenisms

As I'm sure you know by now, my favorite subject to talk about, by far, is Brayden. So, I thought that today I would offer up for your entertainment a couple of funny things that he has said and/or done in the last couple of days. To me, he is way more entertaining than anything that I could come up with to write about on my own.

Entertaining Moment #1:

Friday morning as I was getting Brayden ready for school (i.e. hog-tying him in order to get him in the bathtub), he planted his feet and sternly informed me that "he hated school because it messed with him watching cartoons." Very reasonable complaint for a 4-year old, I have to admit. I also have to admit that I had no comeback for that except for "yeah, that sucks."

Entertaining Moment #2:

This morning as I was trying to persuade Brayden to go back to sleep at about 6:30 a.m. I was telling him that if he slept a little longer we would get up and go to Abilene later in the day. Of course, since Abilene is synonymous with toys, games and movies to him, he immediately asked if he could get a new game when we went to Abilene. I told him that we would see, it depended on how he acted when we went into the store. He then said, "Well, it's my birthday." I replied, "No, it's not!" He thought for a second and then bested me again with, "Well, it could be." How do you reply to that?

Entertaining Moment #3:

Today while we were in Home Depot looking at stuff I was pushing Brayden around in the cart while Brandon looked for something. I noticed that Brayden was uncharacteristically quiet in the basket and so I looked over to see what he was doing. He had his head rolled back onto his shoulders and was staring up at the ceiling while moving his lips. I watched him do this for a sec and then I couldn't stand myself anymore. "What are you doing?" I asked him. "I'm talking," he replied. "Well, what are you saying?" "I wish I could fly and that I had wings." I wonder what else goes on in that head of his.

Entertaining Moment #4:

Brandon and I were laying in bed getting ready to watch a movie when Brayden came running into the room. He jumped onto the bed, stepped on Dioge, narrowly avoided a dog bite and then came to a standstill. He looked around our huge King sized bed for a moment as if puzzled and then said, "Oh, there's a seat." He then promptly sat down right on top of Brandon and then cracked up laughing. I predict that he is going to be a very big class clown.

Since there have been no comments so far and I have only one follower (shout out Wendi!) I am beginning to wonder if anyone reads this. Hello? Anyone? *crickets*
